Finally got to read the Fretboard Journal article .. great job! This registry is such a terrific idea .. and a wonderful tribute to those luthiers who love and build in the Larson tradition.
Great job John on a project that needed to be started! You’re the man!
It will be my pleasure to work with you on this fun project.

Thanks John for all the preliminary set-up. I look forward to watching this registry grow over time, and always learning more about the Larson Brothers and there fantastic instruments.
great work John…!!!!
I just received my first Larson guitar I have ever had the pleasure to hold and play….a Maurer/Larson
I am more than pleasantly surprised at the tone of this little guitar…
Great work here my friend I look forward to this hopefully becoming another great resource for these instruments. I will do what I can to contribute and thanks for letting me be a part of this. All my best!!
John, thanks to you and my big brother Bob Hartman. I am glad that you are now the temporary caretaker of my old Maurer model 551 and the Dyer harp. Brother Bob has offered his help with posting my and my son’s Larson made instruments so you should see about 18 or so more images on this registry soon.
thanks,
Stevie Bauman
I am happy to have found your website. I have a “Maurer” guitar that was my great uncle’s. It is quite old (I am 61 and my father had it for many, many years). His uncle taught him to play guitar with it when he was in his early twenties or earlier, I believe. I will be sending you photos. Will be excited to learn more about it. Still in the original (old ratty) case.
Brilliant! At last I can place my Maurer 551, inherited from my great uncle, who bought it in Canada in the 1930’s and brought it back to Scotland when he returned . It now lives on the Isle of Wight, in the South of England. I just would love to know how old it is.
Great work! I’m very happy to see this up and running, and looking forward in watching it develop.

I am thinking of selling a 1920’s Dyer harp mandolin-If there is any interest I would like to discuss value.

Condition is very-very good I can send pictures in a few weeks.
Thanks.
